Join Small Group Facilitator, Sara Hamill, for Draw Like No One Is Watching: Relax While Fostering Creative Problem Solving
Monday, Sept. 14th, 3-4pm
This session will promote a simple, 15 minute daily practice of drawing to promote mindfulness and emotional expression while also helping you to boost your mood, focus, see problems from a different perspective, and make connections for new ideas. Drawing is a way of being calmly present while releasing your mind to wander new pathways of thinking. Learn to let go of judging your creative expression and use it to better your life through fun and easy practice!
*Participants will need paper and any favorite drawing/doodling pencil or pen.
Sara is the Executive Director at Restore Small Groups. She has more than 15 years experience in the not-for-profit world including work in the pastoral care field, program management, and organizational development. She joined her first Journey to Freedom small group in 2010. She experienced a safe, caring community that helped her grow and self-examine her life during a time of personal and spiritual discernment. She knew that she had found a unique, life-changing process that could be helpful to anyone no matter what the struggle or need. She joined the Restore staff at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee in 2011 and has served as a Program Director and Director of Partnership Development for the organization. She is passionate about increasing the healing impact of small groups throughout Middle Tennessee and globally.
