Categories: Nutritionist

Dylan Murphy is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working in private practice in Nashville, TN. Living in a diet saturated world, she knows it can be overwhelming to determine what a healthy relationship with food looks like. Her passion is to help people ditch the nonsense of diets and create lives marked with food freedom and body confidence.

She graduated with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Clemson University and completed her Dietetic Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. getfit615

http://www.getfit615.com/

Categories: Gym - Personal Trainer

getfit615 offers circuit-style classes and personal training. They are really great at modifying the workout to fit someones needs. They have 45 minute circuit-inspired class – but the difference here is this: sweatonomy. Sweatonomy means that you have complete autonomy over your sweat-sesh. You’ll use a mixture of kettlebells, TRX resistance bands, and your own bodyweight.

They’re here to guide you, help in the best way that we can, encourage and empower you to do what you need and to invite you to connect to your body. The class can be as simple or as challenging as you make it – but that’s up to you. They believe in intuitive movement and believe that means you know what’s best for you. They’re not here to kick your ass, or make you feel small or weak or defeated, and not here to tell you to change the way you are or the way that you look. At getfit615, they think you’re great just as you are.

They believe in body liberation (a term coined and championed by women of color) – that means becoming free from all of society’s bullshit. Liberation n: “the act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, or oppression.” They are anti-racist. Anti-fatphobic. Anti-homophobic. Anti-transphobic. Anti-patriarchy. We are pro-human, pro-truth, pro-compassion, pro-equity, and pro-growth. They believe that this process of liberation starts with ourselves, and part of that means that you can make all of your own choices when you go to the gym.

Since I completed my yoga instructor training and yoga therapist certification (RYT and C-IAYT) in 2014, my heart for helping others has led me to pursue further education in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and complementary modalities. I’ve completed training in Mindfulness-based Self-Compassion through Dr. Kristin Neff, and I’ve studied the SomEx method, a somatic experiential healing program designed for individuals affected by trauma. At present, I am studying myofascial release techniques under world-renowned practitioner John F. Barnes.

I work with anyone struggling with stress and the effects of stress. I also work with people who are burned out and need some self-care and relaxation strategies. Mental Health, Trauma, & Addiction are also parts of my work. I wouldn’t be doing this work if I hadn’t experienced the benefits of these modalities firsthand, and I believe my personal experiences have opened the door for me to provide you with the empathy, support, and knowledge you need to find hope and make lasting changes in your life.

Tyler Smither

Categories: Coach

I help meaning-driven people be present with themselves so they can accomplish their valuable mission. Examples of a meaning-driven person would be: an individual who does her work, not for the money or some status it might bring her, but because the work itself is meaningful; a person who seeks work that he finds deep satisfaction in, and work that is inherently good and useful to others; a person who feels that his career is more of a calling than simply a job.

What I’ve found is that churches and non-profit organizations tend to be filled with meaning-driven individuals. Pastors, youth ministers, non-profit directors & staff: all of these people are doing their jobs because they sense there is deep satisfaction to be gained from the meaningful work that they set out to do. These are the folks that I love to work with and help achieve their valuable goals.

So, who am I?
I’m a grateful recovering addict.
I’m a disgraced, fired youth minister.
I’m a man who believes that everyone has the potential to become the person they inherently know they can be.

Now, in my coaching practice, I channel all of my experience of sorrow & joy, success & failure, confusion & clarity into a singular aim. Helping meaning-driven people be rigorously present with themselves so they can accomplish their valuable mission.

Jes Williams

Categories: Spiritual Director

I’m Jes. My husband, son and I live in Nashville, TN with our two “senior citizen” dogs. I am certified as a spiritual director through Sustainable Faith and am also trained as a mindfulness facilitator, with a particular focus on mindfulness for children and youth. I also work at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Chapel as the Chapel Coordinator and Assistant Director in Children and Family Programming. Prior to this, I spent 12 years serving as the Director of a short-term missions organization called CSM, where I coordinated short-term missions groups, partnered and supported local non-profits/ministries, and supervised/mentored seasonal staff.
My favorite work is that which allows me to create sacred space; be it physical environments, group settings, or one-on-one conversations. I am humbled and grateful to be present with someone diving deeper into who they are and what they are called into.
I find personal rejuvenation through artistic expression, being outdoors, and pretty much anything playful (I play well by myself and with others!).

Katie Haseltine

Categories: Spiritual Director

Haven Spiritual Direction was born in 2013 after I graduated from the residential program in spiritual direction offered through the Institute for Christian Spirituality in Nashville, TN. My call to spiritual direction came during a nine month directed retreat in everyday life called the 19th Annotation by St. Ignatius which I completed in 2012. Various other retreats and conferences on spiritual direction and the Enneagram supplemented my training along the way. I remain in spiritual direction myself and continue training every month with another trained director.

Spirituality and people are endlessly fascinating and listening to people share their thoughts about God, in all their uniqueness, is just the perfect job for me. The first time I met a spiritual director I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps. My heart is for people to know and respond to the love God has for them in Jesus and come alive to their own hearts in the process. Having experienced the huge difference between knowing a lot about God and actually knowing God in relationship, I am passionate about helping others sit still in His presence long enough to see for themselves.
